Pledge to Serve as National Sunday School Director

I,Rev.David Weber, do solemnly pledge to serve with integrity, dedication, and passion as the National Sunday School Director. With a deep commitment to fostering spiritual growth, I promise to:

Uphold the Values of Faith and Education: I will work diligently to ensure that every Sunday School program under my leadership aligns with biblical teachings, providing a solid foundation for children, youth, and adults alike in their spiritual journey.

Promote Inclusivity and Accessibility: I pledge to create an environment that welcomes all, regardless of background or ability, where every individual can grow in their faith and knowledge of God's word.

Encourage Leadership Development: I will invest in the training, mentoring, and support of Sunday School teachers and leaders, empowering them to fulfill their calling with excellence and compassion.

Foster Community and Fellowship: I will work to strengthen the connection between local Sunday School programs and the broader church community, encouraging collaboration, shared resources, and mutual support.

Prioritize Prayer and Faithfulness: I promise to lead with prayer, seeking God's guidance in all decisions, and to live a life that reflects His love, grace, and truth.

Innovate and Improve: I commit to continuously evaluating and enhancing the Sunday School program, ensuring it meets the needs of children, youth, and adults, while embracing creative approaches to teaching and outreach.

In all that I do, I will serve with humility, recognizing that this role is a privilege, and I dedicate myself fully to the mission of nurturing the faith of the next generation of believers.

With God's help, I accept this responsibility and pledge to honor Him in every step of this journey.

AIM 

The objectives of Crusader Youth Camp are:

• Evangelism - Crusader Youth Camp strives to present a testimony of God's saving grace to every person. The camp teaches that Christ is the center of all the Christian does and that Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.”
• Edification - Crusader Youth Camp is devoted to minister to the needs of people and to serve people as effectively as possible. The programs of the camp are designed to meet the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs.
• Empowerment - Crusader Youth Camp provides experiences for each camper to become knowledgeable, skillful, and effective servants of God. Our goal is to complement the ministry of the local church by assisting them in their ministry by providing a unique camping opportunity and facilities through which the local church is able to serve its members.
• Encouragement - Crusader Youth Camp is an encouraging place! Each year thousands of individuals attend an event at the camp and leave with a renewed vision to glorify God and enjoy a personal relationship with him. Crusader Youth Camp exists to help individuals reach those goals through its message, teaching, and facilities.

 Spring is just around the corner! Time to think about things that grow and the Master Gardener. With this object lesson you can show children that God can grow in many different containers–in many different ways. I plan to use this verse to introduce my Planting Seeds Object Lesson to the class. 1 Corinthians 3-5-8 NIV reads, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.” 

 As with any resource, please consider the level of children you are teaching. Our Bible quiz questions include a mix of simple and hard questions. For younger children, choose the easy questions or turn the right answer into a true or false option. They make a perfect option for an easy Sunday School game. My heart has always loved Sunday school and vacation Bible school, youth group, and being old enough to be a volunteer in whatever age bracket was just below me. I have taught Sunday school, I have led youth groups, and I’ve functioned as interim senior pastors. And now most weekends I’m in a church sharing the kinds of things that we’re going to talk about here today. I am just a great lover of the ‘capital C’ Church.

And today, Sunday School still matters. I think it’s really important that we help children understand truth.
